Partners – Bulgarian Society of Retinology

The Bulgarian Society of Pediatric Ophthalmology, Neuro-Ophthalmology and Ophthalmogenetics was established at a founding meeting on 31.11.2021 and was registered on 15.12.2021 for public benefit, with chairman Assoc. Dr. Alexander Oscar and members of the Board of Directors – Assoc. Dr. Galina Dimitrova (Deputy Chair – Pediatric Ophthalmology), Prof. Dr. Silvia Cherninkova (Deputy Chair – Neuro-Ophthalmology), Assoc. Dr. Nevyana Veleva-Krasteva (Scientific Secretary), Prof. Dr. Radka Kaneva ( vice chairman – Ophthalmogenetics), Dr. Ognyan Mladenov (treasurer) and Dr. Nikolina Andonova (member).

“Retina Bulgaria” is a patient-led organization supporting those living with rare and widespread retinal diseases. Together with the Society of Retinology, we work in the direction of prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of those affected by retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, Usher syndrome and the entire spectrum of degenerative diseases of the retina.
